Congress To Give Unemployed the "Bird"

Congress is about to go home for Thanksgiving without extending benefits for the long-term unemployed, and conservative leaders have vowed to put their energy for the few remaining weeks of this Congressional session into extending the Bush tax cuts to the wealthiest 2%. These priorities are outrageously out-of-touch with the values of most Americans.


It would be nice if all the bailout money doled out would have created some jobs to put these people back to work. Congress acts as if many of these unemployed enjoy being without a job. There are 5 job seekers for each available job.

I can't see how extending the tax cuts to the wealthy will create jobs. I've never seen a group so out of touch with reality.
