The so-called over-the-hill gang has just put the young whipper snappers one game away from elimination. Yes the Boston Celtics who many had written off have won their third game in a row and now lead the series 3-2.How can three starters Rondo (3-15), Allen (2-9), and Pierce (6-19) shoot just 25% and yet win 94 - 90?
Coaches don't score points but you can see how much of an edge the Celtics have in this area. Miami's coach is not in the same league as Doc Rivers. He may be the difference in this series.
The Garden will be rocking Thursday night. In the meantime we will be fed a series of stats from the talking heads saying how Boston cannot close out a series. Nobody gave these guys a chance and they will have to prove that they are worthy to go to the finals.
