Big Papi - Unhappy

I was listening to the radio and heard a man from Philadelphia talking fondly of the Wawa stores in his area. I always thought that we didn’t have those stores here in Massachusetts but I stand corrected today when I heard Boston Red Sox player, David Ortiz, saying wah wah.

Mr. Ortiz is unhappy, wah, wah, because he of his cheap contract of $14 plus million a year; he feels like he’s been humiliated, wah, wah, by not being given a two year contract.

Mr. Ortiz, I wish I could feel you pain. At a time when I was gaining a little respect, as I was probably one of the last people in the area that has ever warmed up to fact that you may be talented, you start crying.. Have you forgotten where you came from? You were plucked from the Twins and given the opportunity to play in Boston – I realize that it’s not an easy city to play in – but you have been embraced here – you have become an icon. I still have a hard time truly respecting your accomplishments because you have benefited by batting around one of the greatest hitters in baseball, Manny Ramirez.

You are a one dimensional player – you are a designated hitter. The extent of your day’s work is coming to bat on average of four times a game. Imagine a guy at a manufacturing plant being paid for coming in for 4 times during his shift and putting in at the most 5 minutes of work then goes to sit down and relax. Not a bad gig, I say.

Your achievement of hitting 400 HR’s is tainted by you testing positive for PED.

Please give me a break and sign with someone else next year, maybe with a National League team that way you have to play the field also. Please take your grievances to management in private and stop airing them all over. It makes you look CHEAP.
