Same Old, Same Old in Washington

OK, the long drawn Presidential election is finally over, yet I don’t feel one ounce better than I did a year ago. In fact, I have this awful lingering taste in my mouth as I hear about the do nothing group of lame duck solons and representatives. The stench from these dead but highly paid bodies can be picked up as far north as Boston.

Is anyone going to wake up and give this country some sense of leadership? Can this President do anything other than yell at us? Someone is going to have to step up and propose spending cuts across the board without bowing to any special interest group.

There are too many politicians playing kick the can with the future of this country and it is disgusting. Why do we keep electing the same people to represent us? Why do we think that the person we elect is not the problem – it’s the other guy? Sometimes I think we deserve what we get.

“This country has come to feel the same when Congress is in session as when the baby gets a hold of a hammer.” Will Rogers
