Stealing from the State Continues

I wonder if the following story,

Developers of five affordable housing projects in Massachusetts concealed nearly
$4 million in profits by grossly inflating their costs and understating
revenues, according to an investigation by Inspector General Gregory W.
Sullivan, who is calling for money to be returned to local taxpayers.
Boston Globe Sun. 2/4/07

is going to get the same attention in the media as the two nit wits who were involved in the bomb scare fiasco of earlier this week.

My guess is that it won’t. The mayor will probably settle for a little over a million from Turner Broadcasting to settle the advertising turned into bomb fiasco but the two young men will probably still face some judicial reprimand which in my opinion is justified.

What I would like to see is that the people involved in the $4 million scam be held to at least the same if not more level of accountability in terms of fines and/or jail time than frick and frack.
If this handled anywhere like the BIG DIG boondoggle the state will never see the $4 million. If that happens again the state should pardon all the people that are serving time for petty crimes.
