American Tribute

America for Me

O beautiful for spacious skies;
The canopy for many Fourth of Julys.
For amber waves of grain;
As seen from horse, bus and train.
For purple mountain majesties
That so many people have made their destiny.
Above the fruited plain
Stretching from McKinley to Lake Champlain.
America! America!
Sounds like a lyric opera.
God shed his grace on thee,
Our founding fathers would truly see.
And crown thy good with brotherhood
In every town, village and neighborhood.
From sea to shining sea;
You have been everything to me.
