Stimulated in Massachusetts

For the Kraft’s Patriot Place, a golden gateway
$9m in stimulus funds urged for footbridge over Route 1

Budget trims lead homeless shelters across Mass. to cut services and beds

Above are two headlines of stories that were published in the Boston Globe, Saturday, Nov. 7,2009.
I don’t have to read beyond those headlines to start inquiring about the insanity of living in Massachusetts.
Does it make sense that on one hand our Gov. is contemplating handing $9m in stimulus money to one of the top 500 wealthiest men in the world, according to Forbes magazine, to build a footbridge for Patriot’s Place while at the same time cutting beds and services to the destitute?
Oh, I get it, the homeless will be able to find shelter under this footbridge when temperatures are in the teens. Or maybe it’s to stimulate more revenue to end up in the Kraft’s coffers that way he can move up on the world’s ranking of billionaires.
I know, the homeless have nothing to offer you, but Kraft will make sure you get lifetime seats to Patriot’s games. Gee, all along I thought you were a soccer guy. Oh, I almost forgot, Kraft also owns the Revolution.
Nice going Gov – you just stimulated me to vomit.
