A Faithful Friend

They say that a picture is worth a thousand words and the picture above describes my feelings of today. Things are now foggy but the tide is coming in. My life has hit a foggy and drizzly period as I look for guidance from above.

I should have expected this fog as it's not the first time I've experienced it but it still caught me by surprise. For many years I've guarded myself from getting caught in these elements but my mind was overtaken by my heart.

I cannot run away because I'm anchored to a set position so I have to endure whatever comes my way. I am not free to do some things but in time I will be and I will be able to call the shots.

Now I watch others run. I'm so glad that they have the freedom to do so. As I watch I'm reminded of the Irish blessing that goes like this;

"May God give you...For every storm a rainbow, for every tear a smile, for every care a promise and a blessing in each trial. For every problem life sends, a faithtful friend to share, for every sigh a sweet song and an answer for each prayer." 

If you are in a fog I will gadly be a faithful friend to you.
