Oh Heavenly Father, who art always there,
Lead us to places that we wouldn’t dare.
Shine on our path whenever we trip and stumble.
For we want to do Your work, to serve, and be humble.
Let us always be ready, to answer Your call,
Even when it comes from a stable or a stall.
Let us reach out to those who have nothing,
And in so doing we’ll truly learn something.
We remember You saying how the last shall be first,
We will help feed the hungry and to also quench their thirst.
As You have provided for our daily bread,
So too shall we reach out to the spiritually dead.
We give thanks for all that You provide,
You have always been there walking by our side.
We thought we lost sight of You in our times of grief,
But it was You who lifted us, disguised as a thief.
It only takes a little flicker, or just a spark
To enlighten our path even in the dark.
Our love and our good deeds will brighten the way
And lead us closer to You each and every day.
