Just a few days ago our President went begging to the Saudis - here's the headline;
U.S. To Saudis: Please Pump More Oil
Did it ever dawn on our President that maybe, just maybe, he should have gone to the American people to explain the benefits of cutting back on consumption?
Did it ever dawn on the President that this might be one way that we can have an impact on the war on terror?
Please pump more oil Saudis that way we can waste it on our SUVs and put more profits in the oil companies' coffers. I guess $40 billion is not enough for them and all the stockholders who benefit by each one cent increase.
It's pathetic to see Mr. Bush beg to the same people who back the people he's declared war against.
The Bush backers ridicule Joe Kennedy for taking oil from Venezuela but say nothing about Bush's dealings with the Arabs.
Not only am I upset with our president I'm also upset with the silence on the matter from all the candidates running for president. When are we going to see a leader who will make the use of alternative fuels a priority for this country?
